Today, we honor Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day.

While Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States, systemic racial inequalities continue to this day. We stand in solidarity with all of the activists who are fighting for racial justice.
The Little Market has been proud to partner with Human Rights Watch, a nonprofit committed to fighting human rights abuses all over the world, including in the United States. On June 11th, we had the opportunity to connect with John Raphling, a Senior Researcher in the U.S. Program, to get his insights on systemic racism in the United States, criminal justice, and police reform.

To learn more, watch Nicole Austin-Hillery, the inaugural Executive Director of Human Rights Watch’s U.S. program, and Derrick Johnson, the NAACP President and CEO, speak on race in the U.S., protests, and Tulsa: bit.ly/HRW_Live
