Food = power and @ghettogastro understands that. The four chefs behind the culinary collective put their own inventive twist on recipes they grew up eating.
“This is Black excellence right here. We’re taking back what’s ours and we’re remixing it,” says @chefp. “Using food as a tool to create a world we want to see.”
Today, @ghettogastro goes from their kitchen to the streets, as they deliver free meals in their hometown of the Bronx, New York. Their partnership with nonprofit @rethinkfood.nyc proves that food STILL brings people together, even when we’re six feet apart.
Tomorrow, @ghettogastro is going Live to cook their favorite recipes along with some famous friends, all in honor of Juneteenth. 🖤
