I was born and grew up in Senegal 🇸🇳 and came to England at the age of 17 for university. I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Applied psychology and Sociology and went on to do my Masters in Business Psychology. There was a recession when I graduated so I decided to do a teaching degree to be a French and Spanish teacher. Just before I was due to complete I felt ill and after Numerous tests and hospital visits, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I finally got cured traditionally in Senegal 🇸🇳. I started Makeup Addiction never having had a ´real’ job with just £1000. My hospital stay made me fall in love with makeup whilst watching YouTube tutorials. On my return home, I was practising but son realised I didn’t have the right tools at the right price. So that led me to create Makeup Addiction as I was truly addicted to makeup and wanted quality brushes without breaking the back. Makeup was my saviour in dark times where I couldn’t walk or stand up from a sitting chair unaided. This was over 8 years ago and now I am perfectly healthy, married with 2 girls and feel blessed. I have created a cult brand that my customers first and foremost love and appreciate. I have built all this with no loans or overdrafts and have built a seven figure business by myself. I have over 150 skus, over 40 retailers worldwide, have a brand that has strong trust and have competitors wondering how I’ve done it. You see, when you heart is pure and intentions good, what’s meant for you will never miss you. I wouldn’t say that I have made it but I sure am getting there.
