i didnt know when i should post this but this interview with Elton John (!!!!!) just came out which made me cry with joy. we facetimed and he called Sawayama Album of the Year, which is totally insane and as u can see im quite lost for words. u can hear the whole interview on Elton's Rocket Hour show on Apple Music (link in stories)
i thought of all of u who have been listening to the album and just wanna say thank u so much 🥺 im just so grateful for u pixels and how u have given me a platform by supporting me + my music. I take this responsibility real seriously now more than ever, that as a public person I can use this to spread awareness about issues that matter, donate generously and get others to donate to important organisations, as well as do powerful things in the background that will gradually make the music and fashion industry more inclusive. change comes slowly and takes each individual person of power to lift others - something I'm very excited to keep working on throughout my career. I will be continuing to post about black lives matter as well as updates on music, and in the future be continuing to use my platform to add pressure for change.
