to emphasize the need for Gun Control in this country and to continue the fight for The rights of LGBTQ community. Now with the Rising up off Black Lives Matter movement and New leadership in the Black community I feel the Relevancy of this message of the video and the song even more.! I do believe we will all Rise UP together in spite of the injustices that continue to happen in the black community and in the black trans community BUT it will require hard work and as James Baldwin says it will cost us everything. . Its not enough to have a new President and End police brutality in this country although these are deeply needed
At its deepest level Racism will not change or. end until we change our Belief system at it’s deepest level.
If we are Ready for this (and this requires hard work, self reflection and sacrifice) ............if we are ready to do this——- Then we can Rise UP and we will Rise UP!! ✊🏾✊🏽✊🏻✊✊🏼!! Together.
