Next year's #Oscars have been postponed due to upheaval in the release schedule from COVID-19. In a statement on Monday, Academy president David Rubin and CEO Dawn Hudson announced changes to eligibility and voting deadlines, as well as the delay of the ceremony itself until April 25, 2021. "Our hope, in extending the eligibility period and our Awards date, is to provide the flexibility filmmakers need to finish and release their films without being penalized for something beyond anyone’s control."
