Beyoncé wrote a letter to AG Daniel Cameron demanding justice for Breonna Taylor and her family. She writes, “Your office has both the power and the responsibility to bring justice to Breonna Taylor, and demonstrate the value of a Black woman’s life.” I’m also reposting 2 photos of Breonna Taylor I screenshot from Twitter that break my fucking heart when I look at them for so many reasons- the LIFE these pictures have, the beauty, the absolute JOY. And then I think of how many pictures and videos her mother and boyfriend and friends and family members have looked at in the past THREE months since she was senselessly murdered by @lmpd.ky officers Brett Hankison, Myles Cosgrove and Johnathan Mattingly. And I wonder why they haven't been charged yet. And I wonder why they still collect paychecks. And THEN I think about Breonna Taylor’s family and friends knowing that THEIR tax dollars are going not only to the paychecks of the men who murdered Breonna but ALSO the men withholding justice. AND THEN I wonder how those men sleep at night- any of them.
