I spent a sunny weekend in Blackpool a couple of Novembers ago. It was my first time to the famous seaside town (I think. I may have gone as a kid). With winter arriving the illuminations were down & the rollercoasters closed but I didn't mind - the cold sunrises I watched on the beach were, and still are, some of the best I've seen anywhere (early morning colours bouncing off sandy puddles are hard to beat).
