"Although quite popular in the photography market, ‘Graduated Filters’ - who’s purpose it is to reduce the brightness in the sky and allow a camera to capture all a scene’s detail in one click of the shutter – aren’t always the best option for photographing brilliant sunrises and sunsets.
When the sky becomes much too bright and colourful in contrast to the scene around it, or elements of the scene protrude into the clean horizon dividing the landscape from the sky ‘Exposure Bracketing’ becomes an invaluable tool. Capturing multiple ‘bracketed’ exposures at varying brightness using Nikon’s “Bracketing” function, and then merging them later whilst postprocessing renders an image that is not only more polished, but one that also gives justice to the scene" - @christophersmithcreative
