My eyes might be closed in this picture so you can see the new eye im trying but in the past few weeks my eyes have been opened to many things including a corrupt justice system, police brutality, blatant racism, systemic racism, and a complete lack of empathy for trans people. Not to mention the extremely problematic and embarrassing lack of leadership in the White House. It feels like things are changing but in order to see real change we all have to actively make changes. Going forward I’m trying to hold myself more accountable in the efforts I’m making. I’m going to be actively anti-racist, I’m going to continue listening, continue learning, continue to donate spare time and money, I’m going to take a more active role in the political system, and I’m going to support my trans sisters.
