As I enter into the “new normal” I have developed habits that has brought me immense peace and joy. Sitting in silence is free and can be done anywhere, anytime. The true knowledge about meditation is an experiential knowledge. So when many people ask me how it will benefit them I always just suggest they try. Experiential knowledge is your truth. My experience is that the discipline of setting a daily practice of meditation has given me clarity, focus, relaxation and resilience. Once the mind is calm, the heart is able to grow with compassion and understanding. I find myself constantly overstimulated by the barrage of information all around me. I find true solace in having time to breathe and process those thoughts by focusing on my breath. I’m sure that you will find other personal benefits to your practice. I hope you make time for it!
