Happy Independence Day to all the Filipinos here and around the world! 🇵🇭 God bless our country and our people!

History doesn’t only teach us about the past. It can give us insight on how to take care of the present and future. Today we honor and celebrate the movements of brave Filipinos who stood up against injustice so that you and I can have the freedom we are blessed with today. May we use that freedom to ensure a better future for all the generations to come. Like those who came before us, let us do what’s best for those who will be here long after we are gone.

In this season, I pray for all of us to have the courage to do what is right and reject what is wrong, and the wisdom and discernment to know the difference. From every little child, to every person in authority.

Let’s all do something to help a fellow Pinoy, because we can ALL do something! Whether it’s using your time and effort to aid those in need right now, lending your voice to speak up for those who aren’t being heard, choosing to support local brands and small businesses, or even something as simple as being more compassionate, considerate, encouraging, open, and sensitive towards others.

It’s a difficult time, but we are—and have always been—a resilient people, known for finding simple joy even in great hardship. ☀️
