We’ve hit a tipping point, there is mass awakening and we need to carry this through. I hope you’re moved, I hope you’ve been shaken, I know I have and I wouldn’t want it any other way. ⠀⠀ Through listening to so many amazing Black educators (@laylafsaad @rachel.cargle @privtoprog are a few), reading and seeking out information via pods, documentaries, and many an IG live interview, I have learned SO much (but still have so much to learn!). Systemic racism is real and new iterations continue to appear, but I am encouraged by this uprising and motivated to be apart of the dismantling. I know I can’t fix it all, but I can do my part. I understand it’s a marathon and not a sprint. I will probably trip and fall a few times, but it’s not about being perfect, it’s about continuing to get up and show up regardless. ⠀⠀ I know going forward this new knowledge and awareness will be woven into everything I do. I believe Black Lives Matter (on social AND in real life), I care about all humans, and to think that many are suffering due to the history inflicted upon them and continuing injustice is insufferable. I will continue to do the work on myself and in my life (along with donating, activism, being purposeful in consumerism, and voting in local and national elections). I hope you’ll join me so that we can create a true and lasting culture shift that allows us to truly become “one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” ✊🏽🇺🇸❤️」6月12日 8時28分 - aprilrossbeach
