George Washington Carver once said “When you do the common things in life in an uncommon way, you will command the attention of the world.” He is one of my greatest inspirations. A famous scientist from the 1930s, he developed over 300 inventions using the peanut, among many others. His goal was not commercial gain, but to help mankind, because he knew that “It is SERVICE that measures success.” He rose above difficulty instead of being defined by it and kept his focus on the greater good. And so that is our challenge to you this week: Rise above the difficulties surrounding us to SERVE OTHERS! Keep it simple or get creative, but do common things in an uncommon way to show the love of God to those around you.
