ヘイリー・クラウソンさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ヘイリー・クラウソンInstagram)「As a women who has worked in the fashion industry for over 12 years I have had my own personal struggles with mistreatment within the industry but I have always had an advantage of being a white blonde girl. The fashion industry has always tokenized black models. I remember when I first started modeling and when I would walk for big fashion shows there would MAYBE be one black model (sometimes none) walking in the fashion show. Until recently there has been very little representation in the industry. Black models chances of booking a job were so much slimmer than a white model booking a job. The fashion Industry has only slightly started to change with having more representation of women of all colors and body types because people started to get fed up with seeing only one type of “beauty” being represented. I have been on sets when they hire a black model and the hair and makeup team won’t properly know how to do the models hair or have the correct color to match her skin tone(which is completely unacceptable and unprofessional). As a women working in the fashion industry I feel this is my responsibility to speak up about this. We all need to come together in our industries that we work in to fight for equality and speak up for our fellow co workers. The fashion industry has so much impact on the world. They produce the images we see on billboards, on Instagram and in magazines. I ask the fashion industry to genuinely continue to make changes to make sure that black models are being protected and properly represented. The modeling agencies are included in this conversation, as they are the ones who’s job it is to make sure the models are protected. I will not stand for racism or mistreatment and vow to speak up when I see something happen again. Will you?」6月9日 9時07分 - haileyclauson
