That’s going to change.⁣ ⠀⁣ The killings of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and so many others have made clearer than ever the necessity of both immediate and sustained action to combat racial bias. In order to get those actions right, my leadership team and I have been doing a lot of listening to a host of diverse voices inside and outside Saks, in settings ranging from all-company forums to one-on-one discussions.⁣ ⠀⁣ While many of our opportunities for change will take time to implement, I think it’s important to share with you our first steps toward progress and accountability. This is only the beginning of our efforts, and it's going to take an ongoing commitment and dialogue to ensure we are making necessary strides.
