Every single time Black human beings have created sustainable community with wealth and ownership, white citizens and politicians went out of their way to physically destroy it. What do you think that does to people? Think of five ways that might impact them, and the amount of generations literally pulling themselves up by their bootstraps, who instead starved, because of some random white people’s inferiority complex.
If every time you swam desperately to the surface for air, members of the nation’s powerful majority came running, laughing, to blast you in the fucking face with a fire hose, for fun, and fear, then had the nerve to hide their hands and call you lazy. That would be dishonest. That would be disgusting. Yet here we are.
Still constantly killing Black folks with impunity and policies and police. Still entirely dependent on Black souls for culture, creativity, expertise and experiences.
