We’ve used this last week to focus on listening and learning, and to challenge ourselves and the commitments we can make. To our black community: we see you and stand with you. We are committed to being part of the change and express solidarity with those who are speaking up about racism and injustice. Black lives matter. ⁣

We know that we can’t do this alone and need to work more closely with communities to fully understand these issues. For Speedo, our focus will be where we can affect change – in swimming – and we’ll hold ourselves accountable to make a real difference. In a sport where a majority of black adults and children do not swim, something needs to change. We want to make a difference, to break down barriers and make swimming accessible for all. ⁣

We’ll share our first steps and initiatives over the coming weeks. Where we can be better, please tell us, and let us know when we get things wrong. That way we will learn and aspire to truly be the swimming brand for everyone.
