IF YOU DONT WANT TO YOU OBVIOUSLY DONT HAVE TO!!! with that being said for a long time i didn’t like speaking up on anything. i felt uneducated, and even hypocritical. i grew up in a very republican state. i never chose to inform myself on really anything. my main source of information growing up was just shit people around me would say, movies, and what the internet said in 2012 (which if you were there for that, you know how toxic it was). i have been very problematic in my past, i was very ignorant, something i cannot change. but as i grew up i decided i wanted to form my own opinions, educate myself, and stand for what is right! i understand if you are still at that beginning point, but you MUST get past it. it is so important right now more than ever to educate yourself on what’s going on in the world and how you can contribute to making a change. it doesn’t matter what your past is or how you grew up, it matters how you decide to be as your own individual self. it’s really easy to be a white person and feel this issue doesn’t concern you, you think ur “not racist” but then you won’t speak up on anything because it doesn’t personally affect you. well, YOU ARE THE PROBLEM! being not racist is not enough. please acknowledge ur privilege and use your voice !!! we have such easy access to social media now, there is no excuse as to why you are confused or uneducated. you don’t need to be political to know that black lives matter. you don’t need to know anything about politics to see the police brutality in america against black people. do some research, STAY INFORMED」6月8日 4時39分
