Trust I have been the one with guns in my face on many occasions, kissing the ground cause I’m black. Just read the constitution, walking home from college learned my rights. I heard a car pull up all black “you come here” so I flashed my I.d kept walking. Car stopped, I was thrown up against the fence roughed up and was told “when I say come here boy you come here” that was a little over 23 years ago. But 6 years ago, I left work on set in LA. Went downtown to check my boy, stylist to #llcooj with his friend a young aspiring director son of director #chrisrobinson and two other guys, #Grammyweekend. We were across from the staple center talking about film, music and success in the hotel room. Hotel menu was light so we decided to go across the street and get a bite to eat. BIG MISTAKE! Coming back to the hotel walking to vale to get my car,50 guns pointing at our head’s. Machine guns, hand guns everybody screaming GET ON YOUR KNEES KISS THE FLOOR HANDS BEHIND YOUR HEAD. In my head I’m Like I’m here in LA working, I didn’t come here to die! My boy screams what are you doing, he’s an Actor, he plays a detective on the hit show #Bosch. I screamed he’s the main stylist to #llcooj. They said shut up. I looked to my left and saw the machine gun poking out from behind the wall aimed for my chest. Center Mass Double tap! I wasn’t scared, I was ANGRY!! They checked us and took his hotel key, went and searched his room, found nothing! They said some one thought I had a gun. Said “we look suspicious, thought I had a gun”. I left. Driving back to studio city, thinking, Vext. Called my lawyer in NY and asked what can I do?! How can I help Change this mindset of being attacked cause of the beautiful way I look. I bring my son and daughter out to the uprising so they don’t have to experience what I #georgefloyd #breonataylor and so many more experience every day. #blacklivesmatter
