In this video shared by @ jaycieelynnn on Twitter a brutal arrest of a peaceful protestor in San Diego looks more like a kidnapping. A woman is pushed to the ground, handcuffed, and driven off in an UNMARKED CAR. Her relatives frantically ask where they are taking her, while a police officer aims a gun at her and says “If you follow us, you will get shot.” Why wasn’t she read her rights, told what she was being arrested for, and why was she transported in an unmarked car? Why wouldn’t they tell her friends, and threaten lethal violence when they asked a vital question? (She is home safe now for those concerned by this disturbing video) NYC has suspended habeas corpus, meaning NYPD can now keep anyone detained for over 24 hours. This is a violation of civil rights. Protestors who have sustained violent, brutal arrests at the hands of police are being held in crowded cells and going without medical attention. There have been reports that these detainees are going without phone access, medication, and lack of water and food. This comes from the mouth of NYC council member Brad Landler, you don’t have to take it from me. If you live in NYC, call New York County Supreme Court Justice James Burke at 646-386-4665 to tell him he has betrayed our civil rights and constitution. You can call the administrator of that court, Judge Ellen Biben at 646-386-388」6月7日 5時08分 - seaofshoes
