I had to explain openly and honestly what the protests were about and how we got here to this stage. It was a very delicate conversation to have, and I wasn’t sure how she would process it all. In her head I guess this is how she made sense of it. I didn’t ask her to draw anything, maybe it was just her way of releasing and expressing herself. It was really moving to me that to a 6 year old, this simple sentence could carry enough weight and meaning for her to write it out. Either way, the world definately needs more of this.
