Let’s honor Breonna on what should have been her 27th birthday🖤 Breonna Taylor was an ER technician and former EMT killed by police in March. She was sleeping in her Kentucky home when officers conducted a “no-knock” raid on her home, allowing them to enter without identifying themselves as police. Believing an intruder had broken into the home, Taylor’s boyfriend fired in self defense. Officers then sprayed gun fire throughout the entire home, shooting Breonna eight times. She died in her hallway. ⁣ ⁣ There was no good reason for the police to be at Breonna’s home. They had already arrested the person they were looking for and were investigating drug activity tied to a home 10 miles away. There was not strong evidence Breonna’s home should be searched, let alone raided. ⁣ @battymamzelle has come up with an initiative to demand justice for her and honor her birthday.
