I am the daughter of two immigrant parents, who fled their country due to civil war. Who have experienced racism of all kinds. My father once placed a new roof on a white mans home, and when he was done this man refused to pay my dad and called him an illegal with no rights and proceeded to kick him off his property. . I heard this and many stories growing up. . It made me wary of white people. I’m speaking honestly because it’s time we are honest. It wasn’t until I started working with children that I gained a better understanding of where this evil stems from. It stems from our homes.
