Okay, so the black square was a solid effort with some issues. We forget how virility works within the context of the internet. Fyi, #blackouttuesday was meant for people in the music industry, but ended up expanding outside of that. It ended up burying pertinent #blm and #blacklivesmatter information. All we have to do to fix this is repopulate the hashtag with information and support again.
I know many of you following me here are ethnic minorities. Most, if not all of us, have faced racism. Otherwise, perhaps sexism or some other type of discrimination. We need to recognize that not only did African-Americans fight for all people of color in their struggle for civil rights, but they ignited the spark of racial justice for all of us. Justice for the black community is justice for everyone.
