I’m always hesitant to follow trends/movements or anything without doing my own research because I’ve learned early on that with GOOD agenda comes Bad. I know the basis of this blackout is coming from a good place (and we’ve all have heard different directions), but instead of just being silent let’s use this moment on our platforms to educate and spread even MORE information based on our learnings; feel free to comment YOUR insight! Unfortunately we still have a long way to go, but as a whole, I truly believe we are closing this racism gap and although we ALL ARE EQUAL, we aren’t treated that way and that’s why we are here today. We can argue about that topic for years, but that’s what they want, we just have to catch up on ownership for true change and power. Just look at the protest around the world, we are showing togetherness, the problem is that THEY are, and have been using RACISM as a weapon and BLACK skin has been the target. Give a man a gun and it’s his choice to pull the trigger. They want us to fight the WRONG fight. They want us to play checkers on a chess board. They want us to burn down so they can build up! The truth is that this is a HUMAN problem now; GOOD vs EVIL. I wish we had a respected leader like MLK mixed with a lil Malcom that could lead us by the mass, but the silver lining and truth is that we have US! We all have a voice and a platform in this new generation, so use it for good. Uplift! Educate! Inspire! If I was president, I’ll tell the nation: it’s not about understanding one another (because that’ll take a lifetime), but it’s simply about accepting one another. God created this for all of us.
