All lives matter. Equally. By saying this we are fighting for equality, respect and justice for the black community. Standing together in solidarity against racism and fighting to reform a broken system. They need us now. It’s not just a black or white thing. It is a human thing. Standing alongside our brothers and sisters in need. ‘Speak up for those who have no voice; ensure justice for those being crushed, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice.’ — Proverbs 31: 8-9 • We are ONE family, and we are called to be there for one another. Right now we are seeking justice for Floyd and the countless other victims of police brutality, raising awareness to force change in the system & laws, and addressing racial superiority, in steps towards eradicating racism. • If you are not able to support your brother or sister in the fight for these fundamental human rights, their pleas for change, if you can’t stand alongside them and use your voice; then you need to truly search your heart and ask the question, why? • I don’t have the answers. All I can do is continue to listen, educate myself and pray, because with perseverance, wisdom and strategy, from a place of PEACE, understanding and above all, LOVE; our hearts and passions will be heard, and we will make a difference - ending inequality and injustice! • I’m not writing this to point fingers, because starting the conversation is crucial. We cannot be silent and turn a blind eye any longer, to something that affects all of us whether we realize or not. Because ultimately we are all connected. If we are not a part of the solution, then we are a part of the problem.
