A few days later as we rode in the car, he said, “Mommy I wish I had never saw that video because now I can’t stop thinking about it”. I expressed to him that those feelings were okay because it’s heavy on everyone’s hearts right now. Today as we were headed out from our vacation in Santa Bárbara, we came across a huge protest that we chose to attend. The boys were insistent on making signs, and we managed to make some out of some shoe boxes and colored pencils we found in the trunk. They were so aware of the cause and they were so proud to be a part of the movement demanding justice.
