Los Angeles, we need your help. @mayorofla has proposed a budget that would increase funding for LAPD to receive 54% of the ENTIRE city budget. Please call/email the president of the city council Nury Martinez  @cd6nury and ask that she #DEFUNDTHEPOLICE and adopt #PeoplesBudgetLA! We must demand change and allocation of the budget. Right now @mayorofla has proposed 3 billion tax dollars of the budget to LAPD. WE NEED TO DEFUND THE POLICE AND INVEST IN OUR COMMUNITIES. We need affordable housing, public healthcare, employment opportunities, educational resources, community care workers, public transportation, parks, environmental protection, recreation centers, and arts programs. We don't need police who brutalize, criminalize, and kill us.
ADOPT THE PEOPLE'S BUDGET.
