I wanted to make this post because it’s important for me to get my message across in multiple ways across my platforms. I’ll be honest and say prior to this I wasn’t the most informed but I’ve learnt a lot over the past week. It shouldn’t have taken social media to inform me of the many tragedies that’s happened in all of these years but seeing posts online forced me to research and educate myself. When you know better you do better and I hope my platform is somewhere people come to when they want to learn something new and I don’t want it to just be about the makeup and fashion. Which is why I will continue to use my platform to highlight the many issues/injustices black people are forced to face on a day to day basis. I would also like to take this time to say to all my non black supporters and friends that this is not meant to be comfortable to speak on freely!The behaviour we have seen over the course of history is absolutely inhumane and disgusting so you cannot continue to turn a blind eye and not recognise your white privilege and stop thinking about it in such a literal sense. Our common enemy should be racists and seeing the unity so far gives me hope for the younger generations. The line has to be made crystal clear! US v THEM(racists) and the time to pick a side and show where you stand is long overdue. I urge you all to please take a moment to reflect on the discomfort you feel that keeps you silent and imagine it were you that needed the justice ...
