I took yesterday to watch, listen, sign petitions & donate to as many organizations as I could find. This is not my first time. I’ve donated, called and signed petitions for years but only now I am realizing me doing work in silence is not enough anymore. I encourage everyone to educate themselves on the injustices Black people face in America. I’ve always struggled with finding appropriate words to express myself but then realize I don’t need to be poetic with my feelings. I’m angry. I’m sad. I’m sick. This is a cycle that happens over and over and over again, change a name or a location but the story stays the same. BLACK LIVES MATTER. Speaking up allows change to happen! I see you. I hear you.
