It is critical that white people actively participate in the Black liberation movement to dismantle white supremacist structures that violate the lives and safety of Black folx from Minnesota to Kentucky to Georgia to New York City.

ACTION STEPS:
1. Call Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and tell him to cut the police budget. (612) 673-2100
2. Donate to @blackvisionscollective - an organization on the ground in Minneapolis shaping local demands and building a long-haul political home for Black folx in MN
3. Register for “Showing Up for Racial Justice: A Call to Action for White Folks” - a webinar brought to you by @showingupforracialjustice on Friday 5/31 @ 8pm ET
4. Take action in your local community by signing up for @showingupforracialjustice’s national call for more info
5. Sign up to phone bank white voters on 6/4. The head of Minneapolis Police Union sells “Cops for Trump” shirts and is a prominent supporter of the current administration. Let’s make sure white voters don’t re-elect Trump.
6. Read “5 Ways White People Can Take Action in Response to White and State-Sanctioned Violence,” share, and encourage others to take action with you.

Systems of power rely on keeping white people silent and separate from the fight for justice to operate. The movement needs your voices, and if you have never taken action, now is a great time to start. The resources provided here and on @showingupforracialjustice’s page will give you the tools you need to show up and mobilize others to do the same.

Enough of the thoughts and prayers. Give us solidarity and action.
