Injustice towards people we don’t know is never an excuse to look away, to not raise our voices against atrocities towards our fellow citizens. In fact, it is the time to pay the most attention because it is exactly the insidious nature of these acts of injustice that begets more injustice. ⁣ ⁣ As a storyteller, I try and create empathy to transport people into different worlds and experiences - not just to share a different perspective but to have people feel something from that new perspective. Imagine if what happened to George Floyd happened to you or someone you love. Empathy costs nothing.
