Story: in the middle of the season, after European Championships, I got a message from Anna regarding an idea they came up with her coach (Anna Tsareva) to make next year's program with me. We started to talk about the direction and ideas that they are looking forward to in that very next program. And after World Championships, we meet up in LA for its creation.
Music: we put a few different genres on the table that we felt will suits Anna well, but out of all of the choices, it leads us towards one a bit more - Tango. We start sending each other different pieces and variations of Tango genre tracks. After I searched numerous amount of tracks, the one got the most significant attention on me. That piece had given me a feeling that it could suits Anna on so many aspects: Scent of the Woman (Por una Cabeza). It let me feel the resemblance of her and Donna (the female character of the movie in the famous Tango scene with Al Pacino). ”The beauty and elegancy of a Woman,” with a likeness to the movie title. When I send this music option to Anna and her coach, they liked the idea, and it’s direction. After a general idea created, I wanted to take it even further, make it even more unique, and to let her shine it through. I found one talent composer in Poland, and together with his talent skills, and eight versions in the making, the modern ”Por una Cabeza” was born (the step sequence part). Continues in comments ->
