Larry Kramer. A mythic figure in our lives. I never met Larry but it feels like a close member of my family has died. Larry Kramer. A name that will always be synonymous with speaking out when it’s inconvenient, with righteous anger, with saving my community from extinction. Thank you for fighting for us, thank you for pointing out our community’s willful ignorance when we did not want to hear it (we still don’t!), thank you for speaking out alone when you had to, thank you for caring so much, thank you for saving us.
