Philip also got some very Special Birthday surprises today when An Garda Síochána along with the Fire Brigade, Civil Defence and the Ambulance service arrived outside his home to pay a very special tribute to Philip presenting him with gifts and cards. The ice cream truck arrived with Philips favourite ice cream followed by a visit from the Mayor and of course another special postal delivery. What an unbelievable Celebration for Philip 🎂 This is exactly what community spirit is all about. Philip has touched us all, The messages, cards and videos received from people all over the world to pass on to Philip has been utterly amazing. From the world of sport, wrestling, football, Actors and people who wanted to simply send their best wishes & birthday messages to him from all across the world. This has all been an incredible boost for Philip and his family, his front porch is decorated with birthday cards👏🏼 It’s the simple acts of kindness like this that make me so proud of our country. You have made him feel incredibly special on his big day and it is absolutely heartwarming to see how happy Philip was today alongside his lovely Mother Deirdre, I know it means the world to them. Philip recently lost his Dad and his mum is currently undergoing chemotherapy so they are going through a very difficult time so you can imagine the lift this has given them. He has certainly touched my heart and the hearts of the nation.
