It’s like you two are friends more than mother and daughter.” - For all the bouts of mum-guilt from my being away and the moments of frustration when she tantrums temporarily, I try to remember this remark and nurture it when I can, especially now that I’m with her more often - We just spent an hour in my closet, hanging out and girl-hooding, as she ordered me to try on the “longest” dresses (floor length is important to her right now what with the Disney Princesses fixation). Then the Parcel Force dude came bearing gifts from the wonderful Xiamen-based @msmin_official and her kids line - and in particular this beaut of an embroidered velvet dress for Nico. - “I have to wear it NOW! It’s so wonderful!” - Hurrah! She too, has a predilection for all things pink and velvet!
