The closest I’ve gotten to this feeling is by taking a very hot shower and capping it off with 1mn on the coldest setting the faucet will go. Those first seconds the ice cold water hits your neck you want to run away. But if you lean into it and get your breathing under control it becomes much more bearable and almost, dare I say, enjoyable. Good prep for alpine swimming!
