I'm devastated that this bright light is no longer on the earth. Andre Harrell was a visionary, a tastemaker, a beacon of culture but also, a wonderful friend. He had a way of making you feel  your own purpose, even when you were at your lowest. He would tell you what you are and what you need to be in the world. He was unconditionally optimistic. He was champagne.  He was sunshine. I will miss that smile so much.
