The back loading dock of the downtown Colorado Springs Post Office on the corner of Pikes Peak and Nevada. We think it’s pretty great, but you should see the rest of the Renaissance Revival - Beaux-Arts style building. One step inside this grand institution - which I might add is listed on the National Register of Historic Places - and you’re immediately struck with that incredible, familiar, nostalgic smell of MAIL. You know what I’m talking about. It’s a mixture of stamp glue and paper, of boxes and body smells of every single human being, young and old, who has ever waited on line to weigh a package. It’s the smell of the crossroads of information, of goods, of gifts and of humanity. It’s the smell of AMERICA. . We wish we could spend more time inside this magnificent building, but there’s a good reason we don’t: WE HAVE THE PERSONAL CELL NUMBER OF THE BAD*SS MAIL LADY. OH YEAH. THAT’S RIGHT. . There’s a Bad*ss Mail Lady that lives and works in Colorado Springs. And there’s probably one in your town too. Ours has neck tattoos and a hustle like you wouldn’t believe. Of course we know her real name, but we started calling her that one day and it just stuck. . We ship a lot of mail. Like, A LOT. Between wholesale orders stuffed with cards headed to stores all across the world, to individual online orders from people like you, we are a revolving door of mail. And when we heard that the #USPS was facing hardships due to the Covid-19 outbreak, we were stunned. I mean, couldn’t they just survive on our business alone? . I jest of course, but I think about the future of the Bad*ss Mail Lady who, without a doubt, goes above and beyond to make sure our packages get picked up and delivered. She’s the reason we never have to wait on lines and the reason we just need to ring a bell on an old wall in a dark alley for service. Our mail carriers don’t just deliver mail, they connect us all to each other. So to all the Bad*ss Mail Ladies (and Gentlemen, and Folx) out there who understand the importance and urgency of connection, we salute you! Also, can we have your number?" -@ladyfingersletterpress」5月9日 2時30分 - sakuraofamerica
