There wasn’t much information on OI at the time, which led to my mum being accused of abuse before someone familiar with the symptoms recognised it and had a diagnosis. Doctors at this point had no idea which type I had either and all they said was “it can be fatal, if not she probably won’t be able to walk” well I’m still here and walking!
