The system is made of reclaimed plastic milk jugs. It looks odd & futuristic at first, but is quickly transformed into a lush towering beauty when leafy sprouts are added. @lettucegrow offers the sprouted starts to make it super easy, but you can also sprout your own seeds if youre savvy. Inside is a simple water pump that circulates the water. You only have to fill every couple weeks. Once a week I add plant food and check the ph, all of which comes with the grow tower. There’s even an app that helps you manage AND identify the plants if you forget what they are. This garden is a dream. I have peas, tomatoes, & zucchini’s popping below stacks of various lettuces, spinach and wasabi arugula. On top is a chard, a Bok choy more than ready for harvest, and various herbs flowering towards seed. Sheesh. I feel like I’m bragging. But I’m not. I’m just impressed. Start up cost is high but the return is generous. Typical gardens can break your back, plus you have a lot of critter competition.
