When I was growing up, books were SUCH a huge and integral part of my life - some of my favorite memories are of me and my mom going to @booksofwonder and spending hours looking for new books to take home. Then as a teenager, I worked at that very store all through high school. It was incredibly special and I got to watch the little shop do exactly what it did for me as a kid; expand my horizons, exercise my imagination, create empathy through characters and new worlds, give me comfort when reality could not. It pains me to think of a future where we all just buy our books from amazon - I don’t want my son to grow up not having this beautiful and formative experience that I got to have. Please help #saveindiebookstores by going directly through the store’s website (like BooksOfWonder dot com!) rather than amazon, whenever possible.
