This image of a young Quechua girl in the Santa Cruz Valley of the Cordillera Blanca of Peru is one that, until now, never made it out of the vault. It got cut in favor of a more direct and 'standard portrait.
Over time, I've learned that there is lots of information in the frames around the ones that get chosen and it can be useful to go back and observe our own process in arriving at something that we are satisfied with. Time can also alter our choices and our tastes, sometimes offering magic moments that we may have missed the first time through.
