Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson (@studioolafureliasson) is known for creating sculptures and large-scale installations that beckon the viewer inward, but in honor of #EarthDay, his invitations are taking a different form.
In Earth Perspectives, a new project supported by London's @serpentineuk, Eliasson has devised a series of images featuring nine different views over Earth and created a kind of trompe l'oeil effect: The instructions that accompany the various pieces entreat you to stare at a fixed dot on the brightly colored globes, then move your gaze to a blank surface and watch the globes' complementary images appear. Just like that, Eliasson writes, "You have projected a new world view." Tap the link in our bio for the full experience.
