“My sketchbook pages are based on photos and videos from my friends in Italy when the lockdown first happened. At the end of the sketchbook is when the lockdown had hit London and I wanted to delve into ideas of fantasy and other worlds from history and ancient myths. I went from feeling the need to document this strange time to enjoying the slow rhythm of creativity that this lockdown has inspired.” Artist @isabellacotier believes during this time, people will seek their own ways of being creative, whether through cooking, sewing, figuring out how to sunbath in a tiny patch of sunshine, or finding new and inventive ways to support frontline and essential workers.
