After winter darkness, life is born in the Spring. In these dark times, it seems a bit strange saying Happy Easter today. As symbolism goes, it does seem like we’re being crucified and locked down in our tombs just now. It doesn’t sound ideal does it, but at the end of the day, Easter is about Resurrection, an opportunity or reminder, that no matter what we have been or what we have done, we can always forgive ourselves and resurrect the spirit and truth within us. Basically, it’s never too late to be a better person… I guess it’s up to us, individually and collectively, to determine what our resurrection from this present day entombment looks like... What we’re going through now will extend beyond Spring, giving us plenty of opportunity to reflect on what living a better life looks like, for ourselves, each other, the living creatures around us and of course our home: this planet. Maybe out of the horrors and darkness of what’s going on around us now, light will emerge. What a beautiful resurrection that would be. So maybe it’s not so strange to say it after all. Happy Easter.
