In such a time of introspection it’s definitely been a rollercoaster of emotions & thought. I only now feel settled in with what’s happening, as opposed to before when I still admittedly felt the urgency to plan & change so many things. None of which are even in my control to for the time being, or maybe ever will be for that matter. One of my friends I’m here with is a doctor & I’ve witnessed firsthand the chaos that arises from human fear & desperation. It honestly made me angry in the beginning because here she is putting her life on the line, dedicating herself to her craft & to those in need, while random people feel free to abuse, manipulate & scream at her. It’s okay to ask for help when you need it, but it’s most important to use common sense & keep the bigger picture in focus. If you unnecessarily exhaust our resources (including people here to help us) you’re dooming us all. Even the grocery stores in the mainland all being emptied out leaving the elderly, disabled & ill without a chance, it’s just so sad. My heart goes out to those on the frontlines & to those suffering great loss in these times🙏🏽Everyone is taking a huge hit in this, but those who are in a more stable or even advantageous position need to pull together to balance the gap & help others in need. I’m working on putting something together here in the meantime, you’ll hear from me soon. I send you lots of love & strength, we will all get through this!
