Kyler's daily routine (and children / parents all over as well) has been turned upside down. I was home schooled as a kid and did just fine but Kyler hates it. We bicker more, his attention span is fading and he misses his friends. I'd say that sounds semi familiar for adults as well right now. I've cleaned every inch of my home, rearranged the rooms I don't know how many times and have rewatched all of Ray Donovan. And that was within the first 2 weeks. . Then I saw Andy's quote. . So, what's this mystery thing? . I decided to go back to school. . And I'm so happy I did. . Being a parent means being a leader. And there are so many responsibilities of being a parent/leader. I want him to know his feelings of frustration are just. That schoolwork can be hard. And for him to see he's not alone. That learning is important. As corny as it Fucking sounds, knowledge really is so fucking important. I want him to aspire to be anything he wants to be and to work hard for it. I want to be a better version of myself for him. And for me. We are finding the good in this shitty isolation. Because we aren't alone. And we can choose to be better versions of ourselves. Mandatory Quarantine or not. . .
