I understand. I am due in May and I’d like to have @stephenjamesoreilly in the room with me too. But can we please try and remember that it is also scary and upsetting to work in a hospital right now? This can’t have been an easy call for them to make, and they are certainly making it to protect their health, limited resources and other patients. It takes gloves, masks, gowns, and actual tests to screen a person for this virus, and we should all be doing what we can to save those resources for the people in greatest need, and for our medical personnel on the front lines. I’ve seen so many calls for women to support each other, especially over the last few years, and now we have a real chance to do that, by keeping our medical workers safe so they can be healthy and prepared for the next mother and baby in need of their care. Let’s all do our part, even if it’s scary, even when it’s not what we had planned. Females are strong as hell, remember? We got this.
